Ibn Jubayr Tours is an American tourism company founded by Moiz Mohammed, a Johns Hopkins-trained medical researcher based in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Moiz is an avid history buff who has studied Islamic history at Georgetown University, as well as with historians at other premier institutions, including Professor Michael Cook (Princeton University), and Drs. Fred Donner and Ahmed El Shamsy (University of Chicago). Moiz has also engaged in traditional studies with Dr. Akram Nadwi, a retired Oxford fellow and author of the monumental 43-volume Arabic biographical dictionary of female hadith scholarship. He is currently pursuing an MBA at the Chicago Booth School of Business.
